Jessenius Faculty of Medicine (JFMED) is the medical faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava located in Martin, Slovakia. It delivers an established English-taught MUDr. (General Medicine) program supported by modern teaching methods and clinical practice across university and partner hospitals in Martin.

English-taught degree:
Tuition fee (AY 2026/27): €11,500 per year (payable before semester start; the autumn semester typically begins mid-September).
The online written test covers Biology and Chemistry: 40 single-choice questions in Biology + 40 single-choice questions in Chemistry. Test duration is 120 minutes. Each correct answer is worth 1 point; there is no negative marking.
The faculty provides official preparation guides in Biology and Chemistry aligned with the exam content.
Exams are held online in cooperation with the testing provider SCIO. You may register for more than one session within the same admissions cycle.
Complete the e-application, pay the fee, upload the required documents (items still pending may be added later), and select your preferred exam date. The faculty publishes final results about seven working days after each exam, with official decisions within 30 days.

After conditional admission, follow the faculty’s guidance on recognition of your secondary certificate (Recognition Statement / nostrification) via the official portal and submit verified copies and translations as instructed.
Jessenius is part of Comenius University in Bratislava (public HEI). Slovak medical-school accreditation is overseen by the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAHE/SAAVŠ), which holds WFME Recognition Status (recognised in 2024). MUDr. degrees are EU-recognised; graduates practise subject to national licensing and postgraduate training rules.
The faculty offers student housing at L. Novomeského and P. O. Hviezdoslava residences. Facilities typically include Wi-Fi, secure entry, laundry, communal areas and access to a canteen. Capacity is limited; many students also rent privately in Martin. Current room types and rates are published by the Student Hostel each year.
