Comenius University is a public higher-education institution in Slovakia. Slovak medical-school accreditation is overseen by the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAHE/SAAVŠ), which holds WFME Recognition Status (recognized in 2024). Degrees (MUDr./MDDr.) are EU-recognized; graduates practise subject to national licensing and postgraduate training regulations.
Students typically live in university dorms — CU Mlyny Dormitories (Mlynská dolina) and CU Družba Dormitories — or in private rentals. Dorm capacity is limited, and placements follow university allocation rules.
Indicative monthly dorm prices (from Jan 2024 price lists): roughly ~€90–€144 per person in shared rooms depending on building and renovation level (single-room options higher). Check the current Mlyny/Družba price lists and notices each academic year.
Bratislava offers a lively student scene, historic centre, riverside paths, cafés, and easy connections to Vienna, Budapest and Prague. Faculty associations, research groups, clinics and mobility programs (e.g., Erasmus+) complement the academic experience.
